Land use zoning is an important aspect of the management of the park with special interest in Banff and Lake Louise townsites

 

Peak District National Park

The very nature of the PDNP requires that the managing authority considers all land uses and activities as one so that conflicts and inter-related issues can be dealt with, without compromising the objectives of the park's managers. Figure 2.1 identifies the major uses in the PDNP.
