GEM includes a GAM

In each of the GAM circles permutations of any K from M different GIS data layers are examined either

• (1) to either try and make the clusters found by GAM at that location GO AWAY by adding covariate adjustments

• (2) to identify the strongest associations between cluster and permutations of the GIS data layers
