Introduction
- This report covers progress in the period 2006-07-27 to 2006-08-17.
Summary
- A major logic error has been discovered which rubbishes all previously generated results.
- Running using MSOA constraints is taking too long with the current parameters or there is a bug in the program that needs to be tracked down...
- The codebase has been refactored:
- Unused methods have been removed.
- Names of methods and parameters have been standardised.
- All parameters that are set are now done so in top level methods and then passed through the program to where they are used.
- javadocs have been greatly improved.
- MoSeS 2001 UK Demographic Initialisation Page updated.
Details
- The logic error involved male totals being compared with female totals and vicea versa in the optimisation. This has now been fixed.
- During this phase of code refactoring, the entire process has been run again.
- It is probably best not to write any more detail and instead focus effort on developing MoSeS 2001 UK Demographic Initialisation Page Version 0.1.0
