This project should be arranged with me.

Come and see me with a project idea, and we'll discuss the possibilities. The project should probably include the following...

• File input and output.
• A geographical processing job not covered in the course.
• A GUI

However, these will be regarded as of lesser importance than the use of the program to you and the community.

All PhD and Masters by research students must do this project. Anyone in a job that potentially involves analysis could also do this project. Please note that this project must not be the same as any work placement project you do, but may be done in association with a company or holiday job.
