Assessment 1

This assignment centres around building an ArcGIS addin of your choice.

For the open project you may design your own addin in negotiation with me.

The project should be of a similar level of difficulty to the other projects, and a good starting point on this is that it might write and read data to some document-specific location (though equally it may do something else). Again, code will be marked on the basis of getting the basic GUI working, loading and saving (50%), code clarity, documentation, and effectiveness (10%) and robustness (40%).

Projects that do something useful for society are encouraged. All independent projects should be open-sourced with either an Open Source or Creative Commons licence. We'll upload good projects to our website for the public to get hold of, so please go into this prepared to share code after you've finished!
