  2. In the beginning - a section to record students' initial state and aspirations.
  3. Reflecting on your achievements: developing reflection skills.
  4. Skills: a self-assessment.
  5. Money matters - record sheets to help money management.
  6. Semester reviews - these should be filled in with the help of tutors.
  7. Summary reports for tutors - yearly forms that should be passed on to tutors to help in reference writing.
  8. Planning ahead and developing a useful CV - a short guide to CVs.
  9. Information for references - form that should be passed on to tutors to help in references for a specific job.
  10. Resources : WWW and library - further reading on developing skills and job hunting.

There is also a portfolio for taught Masters students, and a generic portfolio for staff to adapt.

Staff of the University can download the MS Word files for the undergraduate portfolio (1998-2001 version or 2002 updated version) the taught Masters portfolio and the generic portfolio 1998-2001 version or 2002 updated version.

Students: If you have lost your copy or wish to keep an electronic version of this Progress file, download the files and print out the pages you need. Be careful to select the version that matches your year of entry to your degree scheme.

NB: it's cheaper if you just keep the pages you don't have to fill in as electronic copies.

Anyone else wishing to use the portfolios is welcome to, but please let Dr Pauline Kneale know.

The portfolios were produced by Dr Pauline Kneale, Dr Jane Francis, Janet Humphries, and Paul Jackson, through the DfEE Development Project 'A Strategic Model for Developing Methods and Materials for Recording Achievement in Traditional Universities'.
