- Practical session:
- This seemed to go well.
- At the beginning of the practical I was made aware that the assignment and assessment of this module has changed this year.
- It is now my understanding that:
- There are no mandatory assignments, (when in 2007 there were five 10% assignments and a 50% project).
- Now the requirement is two 25% projects and one 50% and there is choice, i.e. nothing is compulsory.
- I assume that the assignments done will follow on directly from the practicals.
- I think the change to the format is a good thing.
- I hope it doesn't seem too unprofessional that I was not aware of these changes.
- I did not stay for the entire session although I was available if needed.
- Prepared documentation:
- Added data reference to SRTM90 data source:
- 2008-03-05
- Pia Wohland emailed to let me know that she, Alice Milner (demonstrator) and Yiwen Zhao are all demonstrating on GEOG5060. I added their details to the appropriate lists above.
- 2008-03-04
- Delivered the lecture and workshop.
- A number of biologists are heading to Kruger National Park in South Africa and will be unable to attend the practical session on Friday.
- I will email and we can think about how to collaborate given this exciting opportunity.
