- Some ideas for small projects that we might seek funding for in the next 6 months that I thought of:
- Looking forward to the 2011 UK Census of Population. A feasibility study for psuedoannonymisation of name and address information such that health and other records can be linked with census records in a safe way.
- Parallelising and extending Grids to use SRB and enhancing terrain processing capabilities.
- Developing a service for creating and distributing Individual and Household Synthetic Population data for the UK
- Integrating Census data with other data and providing annual forecasts.
- UKBorders Cartograms
- SimCity for Real
- Grid enabling GAM on the NGS
- Investigating security implications of using computational resources on different grids to analyse confidential data.
- Funding Opportunities and Priorities
- JISC Capital Programme Call in April
- Stuart still not managed to set up a web page for this working group. He is working on it, but is having problems with the style council.
