- GridSphere
  - Portal framework providing an open-source portlet based Web portal.
- Storage Resource Broker (SRB)
  - A Grid Middleware supporting shared collections that can be distributed across multiple organizations and heterogeneous storage systems.
  - Jargon
    - Java API for handling file I/O for local and SRB file systems, as well as querying and modify SRB metadata.
- Jakarta Commons Math
  - Java library of lightweight, self-contained mathematics and statistics components addressing the most common problems not available in the Java programming language or Commons Lang.
  - Used for R-square statistic of Regression.
- JFreeChart
  - Java chart library that makes it easy for developers to display professional quality charts in their applications.
  - First use of this for MoSeS.
- GeoTools
- MPJ Express (MPJE)
  - A Java messaging system based on the MPI standard.
