Introduction to the OGC and its relationship with the University of Leeds
- The OGC was founded in 1994 and liaisons with other standards, professional and educational organizations. For many years at least up to 2010, the TC has been meeting regularly 4 times a year.

- I acted as OGC Technical Committee (TC) Representative (from 2006-05-11) and Business Representative (from 2008-01-30) for the University of Leeds until 2010-01-30.
- I contributed at various TC meetings, collaborated in the GeoLinking IE and helped out a little with the GLS SWG.

- I have read much documentation including; standards and other specifications, discussion papers and Technical Committee meeting material.
- As the Standards remain open when released, I look forward to using these and reading the documentation when approariate.
- I had planned to get more involved/support the following OGC groups (maybe some time in the future I will return to this):
- I had planned to attend more OGC Events including Techincal Committee meetings and related conferences, but...
- I still plan to encourage colleagues and students at the University of Leeds to learn about and get involved in OGC.
